On Sunday, I found this bat-bear in a journal I took to Alaska last summer. He was below a paragraph that said, "But first I have to go inside and heal."
He has fangs and claws and a very hairy belly, but he looks so friendly and HAPPY, doesn't he?
I also got your letter yesterday and tore in right away. Those boats are so pretty, I can't believe you wrote on the paper either. Yay Mary Anne!! So very happy for her. Go Love!

Oh man, you beat me to it! I was home for lunch and looked at the card again. I thought I'd have time to edit my mistake :) Alas, Ms. Morris is ON it. Yes, they are totally flags. (And you are totally ordering those for your next birthday party. JK) All this talk of penants reminds me - in addition to needing to slate Legends of the Fall for my DVD player this week, I also need to fit in The Royal Tenenbaums.
